TallaBama Service
Group began in 1997 as Scott Armstrong's programming consulting company. Until
2000, Scott operated his consulting business in a single-contract mode. He took
on one project at a time, usually working for one state agency or another, and
when that project was done he looked for another.
In December of
2000, when single-programmer contracts were hard to find in the era of large
consulting firms, Scott went back to work for the State of Florida as a state
employee, but continued to pick up an occasional small programming job. He kept
the business name even when doing personal projects on behalf of the local
baseball park or boy scout troop. Scott still performs small custom
programming jobs when needed.
